The Roberts Company Field Services Division is a diversified heavy industrial contractor, based in Winterville, NC, with satellite offices in Raleigh, and Sumter, SC. We are licensed in 13 states as an Unlimited General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractor . The Field Services Division offers our clients full-service turnkey building services, or we provide complete stand alone expert services for mid-size to major capital projects. We have extensive experience in plant construction across many industries including pulp and paper, sulfuric acid plants, nitric acid plants, acidic acid plants, and, chemical plants, advanced resins and polymers, cement and aggregates, mining minerals and quarrys, steel mill, power and pharmaceutical. Our QA/QC Management Process is initiated well before operations in the field have started to ensure that all equipment is manufactured, shipped, received and installed in accordance with our client’s project requirements. We manage punch list, pre-start-up checks, start-up and testing at pre-determined intervals, start-up procedures, system verification tests and functional performance tests. Each stage “signals” that a phase of completion has been achieved. All phases are done in a written format per our Quality Control Procedures Manual sign-off verification forms. Our procedures ensure that we do our job right the first time.

Project Management
Before a project begins, our experienced estimators apply valuable technical industry “know-how” to our customized Timberline estimating program database coupled with our in-house database system and our historical project data. Careful estimating streamlines our take-off process to produce highly accurate project cost estimates.

Our scheduling capability using the web based Primavera P6 critical path scheduling system realtime production and tracks project tasks in real time. One major advantage of our web based Primavera software is it allows our clients to view progress on their projects in real time from anywhere in the world.

We use Viewpoint based project management and integrated control system management software for tracking all project related activities and costs in our day-to-day operations. This precise monitoring produces comprehensive accounting and timely cost reporting, multilevel project accounting and reporting, monthly invoicing, labor and materials reporting and percent complete reporting.
